Improbable Comeback Extends Series
Oilers Win 5-1 at Home to Tie Series at 3-3
EDMONTON, Alberta - The Edmonton Oilers have extended their improbable comeback from a three-game deficit, forcing a deciding Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals with a 5-1 home victory over the Florida Panthers.
Evan Rodrigues scored twice in the third period to give the Oilers a much-needed cushion, after Edmonton had taken an early lead through Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.
The Oilers will now host Game 7 at Rogers Place on Saturday, with the chance to claim their first Stanley Cup since 1990.
